Gr 7 math
We have added and subtracted decimals, now we are multiplying decimals. We did an example today of how to figure out the price of chocolate chips at bulk barn. Ask your child if they understood how to figure out the price. If they do great, if they don't can you make up a question for them to do?
For example:
You buy 3.78 lbs of raisins at a cost of 1.27$/lb.
1. Esmiate the total cost
2. Calculate the cost without the use of a calculator.
Do as many as you would like to see if they understand the concept.

All French classes
Read the play 3-5 times per week. You might think, "why am I doing this again?", but it's a great way to see language patterns. It is also a great way to become better at spelling.

Parents of 7-4
We are currently working on estimating and calculating decimals. The most practical application of decimals in my opinion is money and the cost of things. Any work you can do about estimating the cost differetbetween items or actually calculating (difference or sum) would be a great help.
Thanks
7-4 Math
Students worked in groups today. They were working on estimating and calculating decimals. There was also some fraction work so they don't forget how to add and subtract them. Don't forget to look at this weeks daily math for the test on Friday.
