French work today
I would like you to continue to read the story.
You can:
a. read the play silently
b. read the play to someone in your house.
c. read it to a little one at home? Set up some stuffed animals (or anything else you want) and create a little play for them. If you are in grade 8, you don't need to do the entire play for a little one, choose 1 scene and present it to them. Maybe you could teach them 1 or 2 words.
d. Facetime someone and read it together.
e. read it any way you want. Be creative.

Hi everyone,
I know it's only the 4th day away from school (I'm not counting the weekend), I hope you and your families are doing well. I watched this video today, it's not related to French at all. I think it is a good thing to watch today. It's only 2 minutes and worth taking the time to check it out. Feel free to send me an email (ssteinhoff@lssd.ca) and let me know what you thought of it.

Versaille
Hi everyone,
With the everything going on, I have been thinking about the places I have traveled. I have tried to share picture of a trip I took to Paris with my French classes. I saw so much in the few days I was in Paris, my favorite place to visit was Versailles. There are no picture or videos that can replicate actually being their. If you ever get the chance to go to Paris, I would suggest to spend part of a day there. I found a short video (3 minutes) that briefly talks about it. I know it's not the same as being there. For anyone who likes history or French culture, you might like this.
If you watch it and like it, google Versailles. Do some reading. What can you find out about Louis XIV, Marie Antoinette or the French revolution. This is a great time to research something different.
If you learn anything new, share it with me. I'd love to hear something you learned.

Ex. « C’était une journée fantastique ».
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Je suis allé(e) - I went Je suis sorti(e) - I exited or I went out
Je suis retourné(e) - I returned Je suis arrivé(e) - I arrived
Je suis resté(e) - I stayed Je suis parti(e) – I left
J’ai joué - I played J’ai vu - I saw
J’ai eu – I had J’ai passé du temps – I spent time
J’ai mangé – I ate J’ai fait – I made or I did
J’ai regardé - I watched J’ai visité – I visited
J’ai conduit – I drove J’ai pratiqué – I practiced
J’ai acheté – I bought J’ai aimé – I liked
J’ai voyagé – I travelled J’ai dormi – I slept
J’ai cuisiné- I cooked J’ai réalisé - I realised
J’ai appris – I learned J’ai pris – I took
J’ai célébré- I celebrated J’ai rêvé - I dreamt
J’ai construit – I built J’ai bougé – I moved
J’ai préparé - I prepared J’ai dansé – I danced
J’ai gagné – I won J’ai montré – I showed
I hope this list will help you create some sentences. If you want to share 2-3 sentences with me, I will try to respond to your email promptly and provide some feedback.
