Homework

Every year I get asked if there will be homework in my class, that answer is easy, YES!!!!!

It is unlike conventional homework, I rarely give a worksheet and ask for questions 1-20 to be done for tomorrow.  That will happen but not very often.

Here is what I expect to be done for homework 3-5 times per week
1.  Read the play.  Most people have some kind of electronic device now, take a picture of each page of the play and read the play through.  That includes the brackets.  Read it in the car, on the bus, in your room or anywhere else you want.  My main goal is for you to become so familiar with the play, you memorize it word for word.
2.  Watch the play on DVD.  There are DVDs in the library you can take out, watch the play and follow along with the hardcopy version of the story, that way you hear the words being said correctly and you are reading them at the same time.
3.  Watch "les actions" on the DVD.  The words are divided into sections, A, B C etc...
Watch 1 section for homework, do the actions and repeat the words after the lady on the DVD does them.  There are even subtitles so you can see the word she is saying.

If you do these 3-5 times per week, 5-10 minutes per day, you will understand the play and the language much better.
